Rodgers Wedding

The details

Wow, where do I even start? This wedding was such an incredible blessing to be a part of. David, or Dewey and Matthia have a true once in a lifetime kind of love. I am not only lucky enough to have them as clients but also as friends. It has been incredible to watch their love flourish and grow over the years and being a part of the wedding planning journey with them, only showed me even more how great their love is for God and each other. Due to loved ones being out of the country, their engagement was on the shorter side but that by no means took away from their special day. The Duryea family began preparing the families home for this wedding almost immediately, watering the grass on the property for months leading up to the wedding to ensure it would be ready for the 200 guests that would come to celebrate these two beautiful humans. Once the fruits of their labor began to shine the family would work together to prepare this beautiful land for the couple’s big day. It was truly a day to behold.

Floral:

Leigh Halsnes- Moon Ranch

Leigh & her team we fun, sassy and most of all hard working! We had a bit of a wind issue early in the day and these ladies helped me to keep reception looking marvelous. You never know when Colorado weather is going to try its best to ruin a beautiful day, but luckily we had all hands on deck, and the wind didn’t stop us from setting up truly stunning table arrangements.

Eats:

Qdoba

I mean what more do I have to say? From queso to guacamole, they had it all! Huge win.

Drinks:

Our lovely bartender was Uncle Jason who kept the jokes and wine flowing all night.

The Pics:

Anna Boardman

Wow, Anna is truly so talented. There is a common misperception that if you get married in beautiful Colorado it’s “easy” to photograph. But I’m here to tell you while it may be a beautiful backdrop, it takes a talented photographer to capture the right light, angles and moments. I would highly recommend Anna to any and all of my couples.

The Spot:

Duryea Family home, there is no place like home.

The Dress:

Maggie Sottero Designs wedding gown purchased at Dora Grace

This wedding gown literally looked like it was made for the beautiful bride. I cannot imagine her in any other dress, can you? If you’re looking for the perfect fit, visit the ladies at Dora Grace in Fort Collins, they will be sure to help you find your dream wedding dress.

Rentals:

Colorado Event Rentals

Timely, professional set up and tear down. Big thanks to the crew for ensuring our tent didn’t go anywhere despite the Colorado winds’ best effort.

Officiant:

Greg Sanders of Vintage City Church

If you haven’t been to Vintage City yet, try it out! Greg Sanders is an incredible pastor, full of life, laughs and truth.

My fave:

The vibe! This couple’s day could not have been more filled with love for one another and pouring out from the guests in attendance. Take me back to that perfect Colorado wedding night.
